Finalist profiles are then posted on the Foundation website for public vote to determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards.

The deadline for the Veteran Small Business Award is April 28 at midnight ET. The Foundation will select the 8-15 finalists. These finalists will be presented on the Foundation website for a public vote. The public will determine which entrepreneurs travel to San Antonio, TX to attend the VETS'19 Conference from May 29-31st.

The most important impact the Award had on me was directly due to the feeling that someone actually believed in me and my ability to grow my company in to something that will create jobs and opportunities for veterans, military spouses and moms in general. Something changed in me that day, I finally had a little capital to hire a franchise consultant and one year later I was able to sell my first franchise!

This award provided a great social media opportunity. We were recognized by two other organizations, Colorado CleanTech Industries Association and the State of Colorado. Since we received the award, we've hired four other employees and two of them are Veterans.

With the award, we were able to build and launch our new website and sales doubled in ONE month. Without this award, I can confidently say that we would no longer be in business. What requirements must my business meet?
The deadline for the upcoming cycle of the Veteran Small Business Award is April 28 at midnight ET. The Foundation will select the 8-15 finalists. These finalists will be presented on the Foundation website for a public vote. The public will determine which entrepreneurs receive grant funding.
Three winners will earn an award each month. First place will receive $15,000. Second place will receive $6,000. Third place will receive $4,000.
Awards will take place on a repeating schedule.
The StreetShares Foundation will choose 8 to 15 military veteran entrepreneur applicants and feature these individuals on the StreetShares Foundation website as the semi-finalists.
The semi-finalists are determined by the following criteria
The Foundation will announce the semi-finalists on the Foundation Website and allow the public to vote in order to determine the awardees.
You can create a simple video pitch using your computer or phone. Please keep it under two minutes. You will be judged on the following:
